12/2013 to 4/2015 The Global Web Transformation (GWT) team in San Francisco has created a global, Responsive website platform for marketing Sony Electronics around the world. In 2014, it was deployed in over 50 countries throughout Europe and Latin America, localized, and translated into dozens of languages.
Metrics were measured by Foresee, and user tests were performed by our Analytics group. Deployment in North America and Asia was fast-tracked based on the site's resounding success, measured by customer feedback and user testing. Visit Sony UK to see the site in English.
Architected numerous page wireframes for global translation and deployment on Responsive web platform. Performed competitive landscape analysis, and sythesized technical documentation and business direction to create engaging, interactive pages.
Balanced primary Marketing messages with appealing product information and ease of use. Messages needed to reach a wide variety of customers, including wide variety of technical sophistication.
Created strategic, technical stories to explain key benefits and supporting details for a broad array of global users, based on Marketing and technical information.
Used various interactive elements ("hotspots" and "dual viewer" shown above) to engage users and reveal additional information for the user who desires it.
My role as Interaction Designer was complimented by a technical writer, visual designer, art director, project manager, and development team.
Typical output was PDF or Keynote, used in video presentations to Business teams located in Tokyo, Japan. Pages were implemented globally by a team in Istanbul, Turkey.
