For Amusement Only: Slot Machines and other Gambling Devices of the Mechanical Age, November 2009 – May 2010
Title treatment, color, design motif, all layout and production. This exhibition provides a good example of how I would sometimes contribute to the content of the exhibition, or how sometimes the design of the exhibition can influence it's content....
The side panels of the large graphic pylons were originally not included in the layout for this exhibition. However, the curator had additional content related to controversy and regulation of slot machines, along with interesting photographs such as public officials destroying confiscated machines with sledge hammers. I worked with the curator to create additional graphic spaces to include this content, and it provided a darker, secondary narrative to an already engaging exhibition.
